KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — The Senior Journalists Seminar visited Masjid Jamek Bandaraya, one of the oldest mosques in Kuala Lumpur. For many years, Masjid Jamek was the main mosque of the city. Built in 1909, the current architecture is a combination of Moorish, Arabic and Mogul styles and can accommodate up to 5,000 worshippers at a time. The mosque is currently in the midst of a massive renovation project. Kim Lawton recorded video of the call to prayer and took photos.
