Amid some controversy, the 9/11 Memorial Museum opened to the public this week in New York. That space, deep underground, is considered sacred by many visitors, some of whom complained that it is no place for a gift shop:
“I don’t think it’s a good idea for people to make money off the memorial. It’s a tribute to the people who were killed here.”
“If it’s to support the museum, I thank it’s excellent. Anything to keep the memory alive of everyone who lost their lives.”
