Should people be required to be vaccinated? Even if it is against their religion? The AMA [American Medical Association] said this week that it would push for state laws that would require immunizations and not allow exemptions for nonmedical reasons, including religious beliefs. The group’s announcement comes amid a nationwide debate over mandatory vaccinations, as well as the recent comeback of vaccine-preventable diseases including measles and whooping cough.
