Andrew Kohut died of leukemia this week (September 8). He was admired around the world for his leadership of public opinion research. Kohut headed the Gallup Poll and then the Pew Research Center. He believed strongly in the value to everyone in a democracy of accurate, nonpartisan polling. Andy was an occasional guest and a longtime friend of this program. He was 73 years old.
