Anglican Priest from Baghdad Recognized for Religious Tolerance and Reconciliation

canon-andrew-white-NEWS-smCanon Andrew White, the Anglican Vicar of Baghdad, received the Anne Frank Special Recognition Award for his efforts to promote reconciliation and religious tolerance in Iraq. He raised concerns about atrocities committed by ISIS, especially the group’s persecution of Christians.

Canon Andrew White, St. George’s Church Baghdad: “There’s almost a genocide. They are being killed, they are being starved, they are being removed from their homes. Things are very bad.”
