Archaeologists Unearth Remains of Early New World Leaders under Ruins of Historic Church at Jamestown Settlement

Smithsonian scientists have announced a major discovery in Jamestown, Virginia among the ruins of the earliest known Protestant church in the Americas. They said they identified the skeletal remains of four men, one of whom historians speculate may have been a secret Catholic. The Jamestown colony was totally wiped out by disease, starvation, and Indian attacks.
