The U.S. Supreme Court has handed a victory to a small Arizona church in a dispute over church signs. The Good News Community Church of Gilbert, Arizona had contested a town ordinance limiting the size and duration of the church’s roadside signs, but not others, including political or real estate signs. The Supreme Court unanimously said such rules violated the church’s freedom of speech. Many religious freedom groups had opposed the ordinance, as had the Obama administration.
