Bosnian Serb Leader Convicted of Genocide and Crimes against Humanity

02-Karadzic-60A United Nations international criminal court this week convicted former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic of genocide and crimes against humanity. The atrocities were committed during the Bosnian war in the early l990s. Among the killings was the 1995 massacre of 8,000 Muslim men and boys. Karadzic was sentenced to 40 years in prison.
