Report: Ending Discrimination against Women and Girls Will End Hunger

world-hunger-NEWS-smThe Christian organization Bread for the World this week identified as one of the major causes of hunger the way the world treats women. The report says poverty, discrimination, unpaid work, and barriers to education all combine to make women effectively second-class citizens. Bread for the World also notes that the new U.S. Congress, convening in January, will have as members 100 women, the most ever.
