Jews are celebrating Purim (March 15-16), where they retell the story of Queen Esther and the Jews’ deliverance from a plot to destroy them. On Monday (March 17), Hindus celebrate Holi, the joyous festival of colors. They throw colored water and powder on each other. The spring festival marks the triumph of good over evil. On Friday (March 21), Baha’i’s will celebrate their New Year, Nowruz, which comes at the end of 19 days of fasting. It’s also the New Year in the Zoroastrian tradition.
