Charleston AME Church Shooter Expresses No Remorse at Beginning of Trial’s Sentencing Phase

07-600A federal judge deemed Dylann Roof, the white supremacist who murdered nine black worshippers at a church in Charleston, competent to face the sentencing phase of his trial. Jurors will decide whether Roof will face life in prison or receive the death penalty. Last month the same jurors found Roof guilty on 33 counts for the 2015 massacre.
