Charleston Church Marks One Year since Mass Killings

03-600Friday (June 17) marked the one-year anniversary of the mass shooting at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina that killed nine people. More than two dozen events were planned, including an ecumenical service at the church to remember the slain members and to honor the survivors. The husband of one of the victims, who is a pastor, urged people to remain focused on God throughout the anniversary.
