Charleston Church Shooter Sentenced to Death

03-600This week a jury sentenced Dylann Roof to death. Roof is the white supremacist who killed nine African-American churchgoers in Charleston, South Carolina in 2015. The jury of nine whites and three blacks returned its unanimous verdict after about three hours of deliberation. Last month, the same jury found Roof guilty on 33 counts for the attack at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church. Roof also faces a separate state trial, which has been indefinitely postponed.
