Religious freedom activists are expressing relief that Christian pastor Saeed Abedini was released from an Iranian prison. He was among four Americans freed in Iran last weekend as part of a prisoner swap. His wife Naghmeh had waged a high-profile campaign on his behalf. Abedini had traveled to Iran to establish home churches and an orphanage. He was sentenced to eight years in prison in 2013 after Iranian authorities said he had compromised national security. Naghmeh said the family now needs time to heal.
