Concerns continue to rise over spiraling Palestinian-Israeli violence. Religious groups across the spectrum have been urging special prayers for peace, as well as renewed efforts at negotiations. Israelis have heightened security, especially around holy sites. Palestinians in the West Bank city of Nablus firebombed the place revered by many as the tomb of Joseph from the Bible. The escalated violence began more than a month ago with clashes in Jerusalem at the site known to Jews as the Temple Mount and to Muslims as the Noble Sanctuary. Deadly attacks have now spread to many areas.
