This week the World Health Organization, WHO, said the Ebola death toll has risen to over 4800 people worldwide. Most infections have been in West Africa, where hospital beds and food are in short supply. In Liberia, Doctors Without Borders delivered thousands of medical kits to families forced to care for their infected relatives at home. Meanwhile, continued concerns here in the US as a New York City doctor became the city’s first person to test positive for Ebola. Dr. Craig Spencer had recently returned from Guinea, where he had been working with Doctors Without Borders.
