Missionaries Cured of Ebola Virus, Discharged from Hospital

Ebola-NEWs-smThere was good news for the two American missionaries who were infected with Ebola while working in West Africa. Dr. Kent Brantley and Nancy Writebol were discharged from the Emory University hospital in Atlanta after testing clear of the disease. They had been in Liberia with the Christian aid groups Samaritan’s Purse and SIM. Meanwhile, there were growing fears that the Ebola outbreak in West Africa is spiraling out of control. The World Health Organization announced that more than 1,300 people have died, many of them in Liberia. This week Liberian officials quarantined a slum in Monrovia where 50,000 people live, sparking violent clashes between residents and police.
