Episcopal Church’s Presiding Bishop Will Not Seek Reelection

episcopal-bishop-declines-NEWS-smThe Episcopal Church’s Presiding Bishop, Katharine Jefferts Schori, announced this week that she will not seek a second term. She was elected presiding bishop in 2006, the first woman to hold that position. Schori would have been eligible for reelection, but she said she wanted to open the door for someone else, who will be elected next summer.
