Concerns about rising religious persecution ratcheted up yet again after ISIS released a new video showing the executions of dozens of Ethiopian Christians in Libya. Religious groups, including several Muslim groups, condemned the killings. The White House did as well. But several activists are pushing the Obama administration to do more. A coalition of Christian leaders urged the president to appoint a special envoy to help protect religious minorities around the world. The post has been vacant since it was created by Congress eight months ago.
