Faith Groups Come to Aid of Flint Residents in Water Crisis

Flint-Water-600Religious groups are responding to the water contamination crisis in Flint, Michigan by raising money and distributing supplies. The Michigan Muslim Community Council has distributed more than 120,000 bottles of clean water. Catholic Charities is also giving out water and food. And the Flint Jewish Federation is collecting water and water filters. President Obama has declared the situation in Flint a federal state of emergency. Protesters have called for the resignation of Michigan Governor Rick Snyder.
