In Washington, a historic Baptist church has named a gay couple as co-pastors.  Last weekend, Sally Sarratt and Maria Swearingen were presented to the congregation of Calvary Baptist Church. The 155-year-old church was founded by abolitionists and is affiliated with the American Baptist Churches USA. The couple is expected to begin their new job next month.
