The worshippers at an evangelical church outside Columbus, Ohio were wrapping up a sermon series on generosity, so they ordered a pizza to be delivered during the Sunday service. When the delivery woman arrived, they ushered her onto the stage. The pastor asked her what was the biggest tip she’d ever received. She said about $10. He then gave her a big pile of cash that had been collected from the congregation. It was more than $1,000. The single mother said the money saved her from being evicted from her home.
