Indian Prime Minister Visits US and Addresses Congress

06-600Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the US this week (June 6-8). He met with President Obama and addressed a joint session of Congress. Discussions about climate change and economic issues topped his agenda. During the visit, human rights groups raised concerns about the treatment of non-Hindu religious minorities in India. Muslims, Christians, and Sikhs say they are facing increasing discrimination there.
