Interfaith Leaders Urge Political Parties to Reject Islamophobia

05-600The Islamic Society of North America and members of the interfaith Shoulder-to-Shoulder campaign urged the Democratic and Republican parties to take a strong stance against anti-Muslim bigotry. They asked the parties to add explicit language to their platforms at the upcoming conventions that would condemn discrimination against all religious minorities:

Azhar Azeez, Islamic Society of North America: “As faith leaders we stand here committed to protecting the religious freedom guaranteed to all of us in the First Amendment.”
