At an interfaith gathering at Georgetown University promoting inclusion and unity, Vice President Joe Biden spoke about not only the backlash against Muslims, but also refugees:

The Roman Catholic Archbishop of Washington, Cardinal Donald Wuerl, acknowledged terrorism has led to tensions in America and caused some to be fearful:

Cardinal Donald Wuerl: “But we, we must not allow these things to change us. The actions of a few must never change all of us.”
