Hundreds of Thousands of Syrian Refugees Fleeing to Turkey

syria-refugee-NEWS-sm Humanitarian officials are raising new alarms about the situation for refugees who are fleeing ISIS offensives. This week alone, more than 140,000 Syrians poured across the border into Turkey, and UN officials said they are bracing for the possibility of hundreds of thousands more. Relief groups, including faith-based groups, are trying to provide aid but are having trouble keeping up with the huge numbers. According to the UN, more than nine million Syrians have been displaced since 2011, about 40 percent of the pre-war population.
