Jean Vanier Named Recipient of Templeton Prize

jean-vanier-templeton-prize-320The winner of this year’s Templeton Prize for “affirming life’s spiritual dimension” is 86-year-old Roman Catholic layman Jean Vanier. He founded L’Arche, an international network of communities for people with developmental disabilities. This year’s prize is valued at nearly $1.7 million. Vanier plans on giving it to his charities.
