Jesus’ Tomb in Jerusalem Opened for Restoration Work

01-600In Jerusalem’s Old City, for the first time in centuries researchers got a look inside the tomb that many Christians believe was the burial place of Jesus. Renovations have been taking place at the ancient Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and this past week workers cleared layers of marble and stone to find a limestone burial bed that they believe had been cut into a cave. There was no indication of who, if anyone, had been buried there. But it did match descriptions in the Bible story.
