LA Roman Catholic Archdiocese Must Release Names in Internal Documents

la-archdiocese-papersIn Los Angeles, a judge has ordered the Catholic archdiocese to release nearly 30,000 internal documents on the clergy sex abuse crisis, without removing any names. Previously, another judge had ruled the archdiocese could redact the names, but that decision has now been overturned. The church says it will comply, although no date has been set for the documents’ release. The papers include memos, medical records, and correspondence with the Vatican.
