LGBT Catholics Rally in NYC for Mercy and Compassion

05-600In the US, a group of LGBT Catholics and their supporters held a rally in New York City urging the church to show more compassion to their community. Organizers called the rally a “Pilgrimage of Mercy,” citing Pope Francis’s proclamation of this as a year of mercy. The group urged bishops and Catholic institutions to make a place at the table for LGBT Catholics.
