Thousands of abortion opponents braved the bitter cold and snow in Washington D.C. to rally at the annual March for Life, the world’s largest abortion protest. It was the 41st march, which is held each year to mark the anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion nationwide. Many of those in attendance were young Catholics, and organizers said they were trying to broaden their partnerships with other groups, particularly evangelicals. Meanwhile, religious supporters of abortion choice vowed to continue defending the 1973 decision.
