Misprinted Bible Goes to Auction

A scandalous typo sold big at auction this week. An early King James Version of the Bible  contained a misprint of the seventh commandment so it said, “Thou shalt commit adultery.” One of those Bibles was auctioned off in London for $47,000. The printing error was spotted in 1632, a year after 1,000 copies had circulated in England. The so-called “Sinners’ Bible” has remained a collector’s item ever since.
