Muslim Refugees Struggle to Observe Ramadan

09-600Muslims around the world have begun Ramadan, their month-long season of fasting from sun up to sun down. Observing Ramadan is particularly difficult for Muslim refugees living in camps and other makeshift housing. For some Syrian refugees, this is the sixth Ramadan away from their homes. Humanitarian groups are continuing efforts to deliver aid to desperate families inside war-torn Syria. But ongoing violence, some of it targeting civilians, is hampering those efforts.
