Netanyahu Speech to Congress Divides Religious Groups

Religious groups—and especially Jewish groups—were divided this week over Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s controversial speech before the US Congress. Some praised his tough stance against Iran and ISIS, as well as his assertion that Jews would not be passive in the face of possible genocide. But others accused Netanyahu of interfering in American partisan politics for his own political gain. Many raised concerns about the impact of his visit on US-Israeli relations.
