This year’s Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to the Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet, a pro-democracy coalition in Tunisia. Human rights activists, lawyers, employers, and workers created the quartet to promote peaceful dialogue amid a political crisis in the North African country. The Nobel committee said the group bridged religious and political divides and helped prevent a civil war.
