The White House announced that it is expanding its refugee program for Central Americans fleeing violence. Now, the program will not only allow unaccompanied Central American children to enter the U.S. as refugees but family members as well. Officials say since the influx from Central America began, 600 people, including 267 children, have entered the U.S. as refugees. Advocates for immigrants and refugees argue the Obama administration has been too slow to respond to the refugee crisis at the southern border.
