At the annual White House Easter prayer breakfast on Wednesday (March 30), President Obama urged people to stand united against terrorism. He said attacks such as those in Brussels and Pakistan too often foment fear and division:
President Obama: “That’s the intent of the terrorist, is to weaken our faith, to weaken our best impulses, our better angels.”
Obama called this last Easter prayer breakfast of his presidency “bittersweet.” He began the tradition in 2010.
