President Obama addressed a meeting of the nation’s largest organization of Catholic health providers, the Catholic Health Association. He thanked the group for its support of the Affordable Care Act, noting that the bill would not have passed without it. He also spoke of his appreciation for nuns. He did not mention the Affordable Care Act’s controversial contraception mandate, which has been opposed by many Catholic groups.
