President Obama Marks 10th Anniversary of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans

This week (August 27) President Obama visited New Orleans to help mark the city’s recovery from Hurricane Katrina after 10 years. He met residents of the Lower Ninth Ward, one of the areas most hurt by the storm. Obama highlighted government efforts to rebuild New Orleans neighborhoods and said more investment at all levels is needed to protect communities from natural disasters brought about by climate change.
