This coming week, Hindus celebrate their New Year (April 8).

For many Hindus in India, there is a rare opportunity for worship this year. In Western India, dozens of temples submerged in the Godavari River have resurfaced because of a severe drought. The last time the thirteenth-century structures were exposed was in 1982. Many Hindus are coming to pray there before the temples are covered once again.
