Chinese New Year began this week (January 28). Traditionally, the holiday was a time to honor heavenly deities as well as ancestors. Today the holiday, also known as Spring Festival, gives Chinese people all over the world the opportunity to reunite with family. 2017 marks the Year of the Rooster, a symbol of hard work and diligence.
