Faith groups were among those expressing support for 14-year-old Ahmed Mohamed of Irving, Texas.
The high schooler was handcuffed and arrested after his teacher mistook a clock he had made for a bomb. The school has drawn criticism with many saying Mohamed was a victim of racial and religious profiling. The Muslim Public Affairs Council was among the groups using the “I Stand with Ahmed” hashtag on Twitter. President Obama invited Mohamed to bring his clock to the White House.
