Pakistan Lawyers Decimated by Hospital Suicide Bombing

08-600

Pakistanis are mourning the deaths of dozens of lawyers and others in a suicide bombing at a hospital in the southwestern city of Quetta. The victims had gathered there after the president of the bar association was gunned down. The suicide attack came just hours later. Both the Pakistani Taliban and ISIS claimed responsibility for the bombing. Much of the violence in Quetta has resulted from the targeting of a mostly Shia ethnic minority in the majority Sunni nation.
