Pete Seeger, 1919-2014

There was an outpouring of tributes this week for Pete Seeger, the great folk singer who died last Monday at the age of 94. Seeger believed that music unites people. He used his music to support causes he believed in—for civil rights, against war. He was also humble. One of his admirers wrote in the Washington Post, “The song was always much more important to Pete than he was.”
