Many around the world continue to be fascinated by the different approach Pope Francis is bringing to the papacy. A newspaper this week published a letter the new pope wrote to a priest friend in Argentina which offered insights into why he chose to live at a Vatican guesthouse rather than the Apostolic Palace. The 76-year-old pope said he wanted to maintain the simple way of life he had in Buenos Aires, adding, “if I were to change at my age, it would certainly be ridiculous.”
