Study: Americans Exaggerate on Attending Church

church-attendance-HEAD-smMore evidence this week that many Americans exaggerate their church attendance: In a new study called “I Know What You Did Last Sunday,” the Public Religion Research Institute found that those surveyed were more likely to admit they seldom or never attend a religious service in an anonymous Internet survey than they were in a telephone poll. The greatest exaggerators? White Mainline Protestants, Catholics, and the religiously unaffiliated.
