This week marked the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Sandy, the deadly storm that devastated parts of the Mid-Atlantic coast, leaving thousands homeless and causing many billions of dollars in damage. A year later, faith-based relief efforts are still underway in New York and New Jersey, where much of the damage occurred. Denominational groups such as Southern Baptist Disaster Relief have pledged to continue efforts to rebuild homes and neighborhoods that Sandy destroyed.
