Religious conservatives have begun flexing their political muscle for the 2016 elections. At the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s annual Road to Majority Conference in Washington this week (June 17-20), a parade of GOP presidential candidates tried to make their case to potential supporters:
Senator Marco Rubio: “And we will have a president that understands and believes that the government is not meant to replace moms and dads. It is meant to empower them. And it is not meant to marginalize churches and synagogues. It is meant to protect them and their constitutional right.”
