Sex Abuse Survivor and Critic of Vatican Leaves Pope’s Commission

04-Peter-600A 17-member commission established in 2013 by Pope Francis to help combat child sex abuse announced it had voted that one of its members take a leave of absence. Peter Saunders is one of two sexual abuse survivors on the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors. Saunders has been critical of the commission and what he describes as its slow pace.
