Supreme Court Agrees to Hear Same-Sex Marriage Cases

supreme-court-domaThe Supreme Court announced Friday (December 7) that it will take up same-sex marriage, hearing cases stemming from California’s Proposition 8 voter-approved ban on gay marriage and from New York’s challenge to the constitutionality of the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act. The cases will be argued before the justices in March.
